Single-Port Surgical System

The SHURUI SP Surgical System is a CE-marked robotic platform designed for minimally invasive surgery through a single access point. Its patented Dual Continuum Mechanism enables continuous bending of robotic instruments, supporting versatile control and access within complex anatomical spaces. The SHURUI® Endoscopic Surgical System is intended to assist in the accurate control of the SHURUI® instruments during urologic laparoscopic surgical procedures, gynecologic laparoscopic surgical procedures, general laparoscopic surgical procedures, and thoracoscopic surgical procedures.

SHURUI surgeon console

Surgeon console

The surgeon console provides stereoscopic 3D UHD+ visualization with magnification of up to 10× and straightforward control of the robotic instruments and endoscope. Surgeon inputs are translated into controlled instrument movements while filtering unintended hand tremor.

SHURUI surgical trolley

Surgical trolley

Positioned alongside the patient, the surgical trolley supports robotic arm coordination, instrument deployment, and procedural execution. Its architecture is designed to enable efficient system positioning and access throughout the surgical procedure.

SHURUI continuum instruments and flexible 3D endoscope

Instruments & flexible 3D endoscope

The system integrates continuum robotic instruments powered by the Dual Continuum Mechanism with a push-pull actuation scheme, and a flexible stereoscopic 3D endoscope. Together, they enable continuous bending, controlled end-effector movements, and navigation within anatomically complex surgical environments.

Clinical operating principle

1. Access

The procedure is performed through a single access point. Depending on the clinical application and surgical approach, dedicated trocar configurations can be selected to accommodate specific procedural and anatomical requirements.

2. Deployment

The robotic instruments and flexible 3D endoscope are deployed beyond the trocar within the operative field. This internal deployment architecture, combined with the patented Dual Continuum Mechanism, enables enhanced dexterity and controlled navigation within confined and anatomically complex surgical environments.

3. Control

From the surgeon console, real-time stereoscopic 3D visualization and straightforward controls enable coordinated instrument and endoscope manipulation throughout the procedure.
